Palomas Adopt a Crag - 2007
The NM Climbers' Resource & Advocacy Group (CRAG) and the Access Fund teamed up to repair the Palomas Peak Trail for this year's Adopt-A-Crag project. Several years of drought combined with a bark beetle infestation a few years ago killed a large number of pinion trees along the trail and they are now starting to come down. During the hard day of effort we were able to clear the dead fall, cut back some of the encroaching brush, and repair and stabilize a few sections of trail.
